Nowadays, most people are occupied with different kinds of technology especially among the young people who are attending much of this system.They didn't even realize that too much addiction and love of this technology can ruin even the physical and mental aspects of life.Does it really bring good things to our young generation today?

Media is a channel or system of communication,information and entertainment in which something may function or flourish by the users.Media is good and helpful,it indeed play a vital role in progressing our worth of living and serves as an enjoyment.But too much used with it can ruin our concentration on the things which are more important and more prioritize.Media has a great impact  in the change of value system and widespread among the youth.It even made us unbalance in our lifestyle if we didn't control ourselves,we must limit and wise enough in handling these kind of channels.Because without knowing that we are addicted and slave by it,it can divert and grab our time for our Spiritual things such as prayer,personal devotion to the Lord,it will blind us from the things that are more worth and real.It can make us forget the real world if we have no discipline in using it.

A Mysterios Old Woman

            Once there was a quiet river in which the people who lived nearby, avoided to passed in it and scared to took a bath in the stream.Before it was said that many people went to that river for its beauty,clean and for its luminous color of  water.The children had enjoyed swimming and they played in the river too.Their mother were pleasantly washed clothes while men had been busied caught some fishes.They were all grateful for having that river in their place.Some said that it was a gift from above because it was served as their source of living .They got water from the river also to cooked for food and served as their drink  when they got thirsty,there were many uses that they had got from the river.Unexpectedly,there was an old woman has been visited  there place and begged for water in which from the river for her to drink because as what she reported that she walked for a long miles just to looked for people who could gave her a hand and met her needs.But the people of that place,refused to helped her,instead the  crowd would helped her,they kicked her as an animal and left her alone.The old woman silently cried and continued on her journey.It was early in the morning and children had been quacked went to the river for their habitual activity,but as they arrived in the river,they all got shocked because the river was no water anymore.They rushed to their parents and reported what they had seen.The news was immediately spread out to  its neighboring places,all the people went there and witnessed what had been happened.They looked at each other and asked  why and how it happened,in fact they were good people and harm no one.And a certain man who has remembered about the old woman who begged for helped from them and they had just rejected her,explained what had happened.From then on,they didn't see and find even a little amount of water in the river,and they lived a life of regrets and  found difficulty in living.

A Living Personal Testimony

           God can able to changed a situations and lives that had been a problem for years, even the worst situation, meaningless and hopeless lives. Sometimes we are tempted to give up on people or situations that have not changed for many years. But God can change what seems unchangeable, giving new purpose and hope in life. Have you gone far enough in changing your worse life into a meaningful and hopeful life?If you did and its worked nothing, let God's power transform you to be a better person and you can experience 100% true joy and abundant blessings that you've never experienced before. There is a special story, on which I am so bless and enlighten on how God transformed his life.This person is very near to my heart and serve as an instrument on how I'm going to adjust every difficulties and challenges that life may brings.
            There was a certain young man who belonged to a poor and troubled family at Damulog, Bukidnon.One to six years old, he lived in his family and studied at Bukidnon.One day, he climbed on a coconut tree, and and accidentally he fall down and lost his consciousness, he thought that it was his the end of his life, but God preserved his life,he was years of age that time.When he was 8 years old,  he gave to another family at Ambacon, Las Nieves Agusan Del Norte,named Lope. It's not too long that he lived under the care of Lope,and years later,Lope gave him to Dodong and Marina,Lope's brother.This young boy was abused by this family.most of the household chores were given to him.He was always whipped,even he worked hard for this family.On his first year High School, he studied at Las Nieves Agusan del Norte. He and his friends would crossed on the river and hiked almost six kilometers just to reached their school.At the age of 9,he engaged in vices such as tobacco,marijuana,rugby and hard liquor as a result of his frustrations and disappointments about his life situation.Until he reached 15 years of age,his life was getting worse and worse, he even tempted to commit suicide,but on that time on,there was a voice he heard,saying,"Don't commit suicide,just go to your peers".That family who abused him,leads him to hatreds and planned to went to mountain at Ambacon Las Nieves Agusan Del Norte to joined NPA and would take revenge. But he didn't succeeded,because his auncle advised him to went home if he still love and want to see his family again.Unfortunately,he wasn't able to went home because Lope gave him to another family,named Ruben and Naneth.He worked hard on the household chores and he did everything just to have a place to stay.Then. this young man strivedhard,saved his money to buy some clothes and his personal belongings but unfortunately, the money that he entrusted to Naneth was spent by Nanette for her own necessities.Because of what had happened, he attempted to commit suicide again. He left for Celco Agusan Del Sur,there,his life was getting worse and found a job.He worked on a certain store owned by Rodolfo and Nalie. Months later,he went back to Las Nieves Agusan del Norte and he lived of what we called Bureau Forestry Develpoment and became servant.And he stopped his study its because of situation that he engaged in bad barkadas and vices.At the age of 17,his older brother took him from Butuan to Bukidnon.His life became miserable and worse with his cousins when he went home,he found his life hopeless and meaningless.He experienced using an amulet,he would not felt pain nor affected when his arms were tried to cut off using sharp tools, because of the power of the amulet he wore,the sharp tools worked nothing.His life didn't change to a good one he desired to be,it goes into deeper disappointments.It was Friday in the evening,that he struggled to slept,he arose and prayed to God like these,"Lord, if these power (the amulet)that I have is yours,please give me  more,but if its not yours,please deliver me and save me from this situation".As he slept,God sent him a dreamed,that there was a a child that was buried on  the roadside,and in his dreamed,he dig the soil and surprisingly  he saw a child,he got pity on the child and wondered why the child was buried in fact it was alive.

           A week after,he got attracted to a young lady with a long hair on which he had always seen  going to the church.Then,there was a another young man who was regularly attending to that church who invited to joined for their Sunday Worship and he gladly accepted the invitation.It was Sunday morning,and really went to the church and sat down at the last row.The preacher preached at the  Book of Matthew 7:21 that says,"Not everyone who says to Me,Lord,Lord, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven,but only he who does the will of My Father who is in Heaven."From then on,he questioned himself,why his life doesn't change in fact he had 53 chants which he called god but nothing happens,his life was getting worse.He questioned how to get to heaven,then the preacher said that,"Accept God as your Lord and personal Savior,repent and turn away from sin."After he heard this line,the young man decided to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior of his life with his two hands lifted as he surrendered his life to Jesus.Upon raising his hands,he felt the unusual cold running from his hands down throughout his body.Truly,God works in his life,God change his life in the year 1968,it was after Holy Week.Jesus Christ really transform him to a better person,from then on,he was now very active in joining church activities and gatherings,he cleaned the church though there's nobody who commanded him.He do everything for the Lord even there's no one who sees him working.He went to church very early in the morning,in order for him to pray,cry to the Lord and give thanks for all the things the Jesus done in his life especially for his change life.One month later,he joined fasting and prayer and has been baptized in water.This young man didn't waste his time,after he baptized he went to Kadingilan, Bukinon at Foursquare Church.At first he was janitor,after one year he became one of the deacons.He continued his journey to Cagayan de Oro City,then he became church worker and assistant pastor.It was also the time he met a young lady who became his wife,that was on September 1990.Both of them studied in Bible School and went back to Bukidnon and assigned at Kawilihan,Don Carlos Bukidnon fro almost five years.Then he had his Church pioneering at new Damulog, Bukidnon for almost one year then proceeded at Misamis Oriental,he worked in a certain institution called Orphans and Street Children Ministry for almost five years.Then he was assigned at Naawan,Misamis Oriental within one year and presently assign here in Iligan City.His life is totally change by God and he finds his purpose and meaning in life why he exist.God uses him in so many ways,many lives change and bless especially among young people because of his living testimony and new life in Christ.Many young people and elders he train,and in fact some of them are now good preachers and musicians.He surprise his barkadas and cousins for his change life in Jesus.They couldn't tell and believe about his changes,because before he was so bad boy and now become light and blessings to many. God blesses him Spiritually, physically,mentally and financially and indeed God give him a godly and happy family,he has four loving and godly children.And with his wife who gives her support and unfailing love to him and their children and give her endless support in the ministry.Now he experience the inexpressible joy and abundant blessings that he never experienced before.As he share his testimony to the congregation ,many will approach to him,shake his hand,  and said,"I am so bless of your life pastor.",and he has no other response  except like this,"To God be the Glory."

                  There was a nine-year-old child named LL, who was accidentally fall down from the cart. The story happened when this child told by her parents to sleep because it was a siesta time,that was 3:00 PM in the afternoon,last 2001. The child didn't take heed of what her parents told her to do so, all she did was quickly going down from her room and went to her playmates. She and her friends enjoyed riding on the cart which was made of wood.They laughed and pushed each other without knowing that there was a big truck loaded with many bananas which had been following them. Because of panicked, the girl who's the one assigned to push the cart,pushed the cart fastly with all her efforts and tense in order that the cart will be placed on the other side of the road.With all the nervous and panicked, LL accidentally fall from the cart and was faint. Her friends tried to checked her pulse rate and fanned her nervously. The pity child really looked pale and weak. With the helped of her friends,she woke up and trying to renew her strength and went home weary and tired. As LL, went home, her parents wondered why their child felt sleepy in fact they told her to sleep.LL was just bowed her head, went to her room and slept.  

Worry ENDS Where Faith BEGINS

                   Yes, it is absolutely true that worry ends where faith begins because I experienced how it helped and developed my foundation of faith.Most of the people today worry about on what to wear,what to eat and many more they don't realize that there is a BIG GOD who is the Source of Everything.I'm so blessed after I read this quotes because it reflects in the situation nowadays economically and politically.Many problems that arouse because of the lack of faith.Is it possible to live a life without worry?I guessed many will say no,but if we are courageous to realize that we are not alone in times of worry and troubles indeed we could really share to others that God is with me always.I am so touched of this line,because before if I got worry,all I did is isolating myself from my friends and peers I don't want to with them because of my situation.But later,I enlightened and awaken  because when the time I read God's Word that says,"Ask and you will given,and believe that you received it and it shall be yours."Praise God!See how God's Words meet my needs emotionally,physically,financially and Spiritually.I realized that God doesn't look at on my own ability,instead He want to show His greatness and marvelous works to me and make me realize that "All things are Possible to Him!"That's why it's not too late to take away from doubts and worry,it's time to reflect God's presence in our lives.So now,STOP WORRYING,and START PRAYING.

My Insight about "The Carpenters Gift"

                    Many barriers come between people-race, social status and personality differences-but Christ can break these barriers,through using other people in order to reestablish our broken relationship.Reconciliation means reestablishing relationship.In this story,the carpenter served as the instrument that the two brothers will restore their broken relationship.The carpenter has reconciled the two brothers through the bridge he built.He used his initiative to reconcile the two brothers,he didn't obey what the other brother told him to do because he knows that if he build fence it will make the situation worse.

                    Some people are building walls of division instead of building a bridge that will brings peace and harmony.Christ can transform our most hopeless relationship into deep and loving friendships if we are willing to give up our unforgiving spirit and pride.I realized that as a believer of Christ who models as the Forgiving Spirit,I should be just as receptive to those who want to make peace with me.Sometimes when someone wrongs us,we often turn away in hatred or resentment,seek revenge or engage in gossip and build a fence or wall.By contrast, we should go to that person first as difficult as that may be.Then we should forgive and reconcile that person as he or she often needs it.This will create a much better chance of restoring the relationships and later,we all realize that relationships and love are what life is all about.

The Mysterious Mountain

                        The selection "The Mysterious Mountain" from the title alone I can say from the start that is  an interesting selection and I could understand easily what it talks all about and I can relate to this selection well.But, I can' deny that when I read further the selection,I said to myself;"Oh, what a wrong impression I have made".I thought  the title itself will meet my impression that is interesting and I can fully understand the selection.I found it more challenging and a little bit difficult because it has a big difference from the articles that I had read before.This article is full of of unfamiliar words, and what I did so that I can understand the article better, I used dictionary and other references to find its meaning.If the meaning of the certain word can't meet my satisfaction or I can't relate on,I diligently scan other related words or get their synonyms which is the easier thing to do.It is really true that in reading especially like this kind of article,I must consider the organization of thoughts,read and reread because it helps me more to cope with the infomation given in the said article and to improve my skills in understanding.Through reading this kind of article it helps me more in exercising my skills in observing and interpreting what the article is all about.Some of the language used in the article is so strange  to me, I really tried to read and reread so that can fully understand.But indeed,I enjoyed it because I learned new words and it adds more in my vocabulary.I consider this as challenging task because it makes me more disciplined in my reading skills and habits.And it is true that"ONE PAGE A DAY, TAKES IGNORANCE AWAY!"So keep on reading good books-especially the Word of God the Bible.

                      People who do not know their ethics and the basics social graces are often misunderstood as uncivilized people.To many, they look funny, awkward,uneducated and ignorant.Imagine a well-known local homeless man in the article who sets as an example of having good manners towards the people surrounds him.What do you think will people say about you?

                       For me,manners are based on our brotherly and sisterly love towards others."Making them feel that they are valued and important." I learned more lessons from this article such that I must treat people equally even from different tribes,races and status in life. I must discover,too,the barriers for developing  my manners and correct it in a way that I can progressively give  respect and value  others integrity.I must develop my habit of giving positive manner towards others and must be sensitive enough to weigh respect to them as they are.
                      I was impressed  and enlightened about this article.It illustrates  how I should develop and show good manners towards  other people that I am encountering everyday.It reminds me always  how good manners are important and useful in my everyday life and even my lifestyle as well.This article gave me a fresh-inspiring lesson on how I develop my treatment towards others.I am so thankful with my parents that they taught me to respect and value others lives which I keep 'til this time.And it is absolutely true that adequate parenting is the major factor in teaching,motivating and guiding children to live a life with good manners towards their parents, siblings,  to their selves and to others especially to the elderly.

                     Manners also serve as a tool which provides and guides every individual to balance own attitude towards others and sustain a good treatment towards other people.In fact,it takes me to the point of realization that people come and go,so the best thing to do is show respect and be courteous enough.
                     Therefore, manners require self-discipline,respect and love.A person who respects and has a love to others will always be considerate and tactful in his words,expressions and deeds.Manners can be done using magic words such that "Thank you",Excuse me" and others,and using gestures and actions like "Extending a helping hand"and "Any act of charity".And  above all respect God and  be courteous to His creature.

                 Determination plays a most vital role in achieving person's success in life. It molds and prepare the person to press onward in spite of his limitations and circumstances itself. Many works cease because the person was not prepared for the opposition and criticism about his integrity-the discouragement was just too much.Every good work and step that the person's make to reach his dreams and goals in life, is unavoidable that there are those  who will try to stop it, try to pull him down which leads the person's to discouragement and lack of confidence that's why he will withdraw for becoming of who he is in the future.He will think that all things are impossible for him to reach!But if determination will be rooted in person's heart and mind, he could learn confidence to face criticism in two ways:He will come to realize that criticism and obstacle are steps to strengthen his integrity that he can and that criticism work is nothing new and he will grow in his ability to step out on faith and courage because he will realize that he is not alone-there are people who give their endlessly support and love to him and most especially God is there that will strengthen  him to continue to work out and achieve his desirable goals and dreams in life in spite of opposition.

Here's an inspiring story about determination I would like to share to you.

 

                                     Determination through Opposition
                Jason was a young Christian who had a vision to reach youth. He worked hard to organized a rally as a means to bring gospel to them.His enthusiasm was certainly not lacking as he called others to join him in his vision of winning his peers to Christ.

                   Although there were many who supported Jason's work and shared in it by giving of their time,finances and prayers, Jason quickly learned that with any worthy cause comes opposition. Jason heard the comments firsthand."This is never going to work"."I don't believe anybody will attend, even if it gets organized."Some questioned his integrity-"Jason just wants to be the boss or "he has to be in the limelight".

                    After hearing these comments, it didn't take very long for Jason to begin doubting whether he should continue to try to launch this outreach rally. Then came the other disappointments. People said they would help and then would not show up.Rumors spread that the rally had been canceled due to lack of of interest. The posters, which had already been mailed out, had the main speaker's name misspelled.

                    Jason, however, continued to pray. He continued to seek support from those who shared his vision.He pressed forward despite opposition and doubts,and the rally was held as scheduled.There have been many more rallies in Jason's community since that first one, each having some sort of opposition and each being used by the Lord to further His Kingdom.

               Identical twins  Sharon Mckendrick  and Susan Evers (Hayley Mills) make each others acquaintance
at summer camp, not realizing at first that they are indeed sisters. At first rivals, puling pranks to each other,their mischief ruins the camp dance. Their punishment is to live together in an isolated cabin where they bond.After both admitted they have come from broken homes, they soon learn that there parents Maggie and Mitch (Maureen O'hara and Brian Keith) divorced shortly after the twin's birth, with each parent having custody of one daughter. The sisters,each dying to meet the parent they never knew, switch places inorder to visit the parent they have never seen. Sharon calls Susan in Boston with the news that their father is planning to marry gold-digger and their mother need to be rushed to California to prevent the union. In Boston, Susan tells her mother the truth about the switched identities and the two fly to California.
              With both parents and both twins in California , the twin set about  sabotaging their father's marriage plans. Mitch's money- hungry  girlfriend some veiled cattiness from Maggie.When Vickie is away for an evening the girls stage a reprise of their parents first date in Mitch's home with an Italian and a gypsy violinist. The former spouses are gradually drawn together.
               Vickie however digs her heels in regarding Mitch and marriage ,but the girls effect the coup de grace on the wilderness camping trip: Vickie spends her time swatting mosquitoes  after dousing herself with sugar and water"mosquito repellent" given her by Sharon and Susan,and finds herself sleep interrupted as she is tickled awake by two bear cubes licking honey off her humorously large feet. The bear cubs drawn to her tent by a trail of honey left by the twins. Exasperated, Vickie gladly tosses in the towel. Mitch and Maggie rekindle the love they once held for each other and the two remarry in the final scene  with the twins as members of the wedding party.

    
               
                  This movie inspires me lot because it plays a vital role in family relationships.After I watched the movie, it seems it realizes me more that as a daughter I should be responsible enough to handle things whatever trials that life may brings in our family relationships.The twins in this movie did everything just to restore the relationship of their parents. I really touched of this movie because imagine how young they are but indeed they successfully restore their broken family.It awakens and enlightens us that nothing is more important than our family to be unite as one and the love of God be center in the family relationship.And it reminds us, too that divorce is not the solution of the problems and trials that life may brings.Instead we will listen to  the advices of the ungodly people,we will run to Jesus who is the BEST SOLUTION of this storms in life.God never gives us trials that we can't handle,it is just a test to strengthen our love to each other and to draw closer to Him.

Even the strongest people get tired at times, but God's power and strength never diminish. He is never too tired or too busy to help and listen. His strength is my source of strength. When I feel all of life crushing me and cannot go another step, I must remember that I can call upon God to renew my strength. Hoping in the Lord is expecting that His promise of strength will help me to rise above life's distractions and difficulties. It also means that trusting God in times of need. Then, I will be patient when God asks me to wait and expect Him to fulfill the promises found in His Word-the Bible.
As a student, I should develop my mission-vision in life and trust God above all to achieve my dreams successfully and to become what God intends me to be. Storms in life may come in the form of a crisis, fears, some drastic change of life and negativity and the truth is,nobody is exempted from it. But the good news is, God allows these difficulties into our lives to help us grow Spiritually-to learn to live by faith, not by our feelings and to be mature enough. And you know what, eagles love storms. Let's find out how these storms can turn into benefits:Cause the eagle to fly higher, give the eagle a larger view, lift the eagle above harassment, allow the eagle to use less effort, allow the eagle to stay up longer and help the eagle to fly faster.
My parents are use by God to guide and give me the courage and challenge to unlock and stretch my God-given potentials,until I discovered that I have a hidden abilities and learned how to do things in my own way but not in all aspects in life. And now I will soar on wings like eagle knowing that God is my source of strength, wisdom, understanding, and success in life.
